Early life

Applegate was born in Hollywood, California. Her father, Robert W. Applegate, was a record producer and record company executive,[1] and her mother, Nancy Lee Priddy, was a singer and actress. Her parents split up shortly after her birth. She has two half-siblings (Alisa and Kyle) from her father's remarriage. Following her parents' divorce, her mother had a relationship with musician Stephen Stills. It was through Stills' friendship with fellow musicians Paul Kantner and Grace Slick that Applegate became friends with their daughter, China Kantner.[2][3]

[edit] Early work

Applegate made her TV debut with her mother in the soap opera Days of Our Lives and a commercial for Playtex baby bottles at three and five months, respectively.[4] Her first big screen appearance followed at age 7, when she was seen in the 1979 film, Jaws of Satan (a.k.a. King Cobra), followed by 1981's Beatlemania. She debuted in a television movie as young Grace Kelly in the biopic, Grace Kelly (1983, opposite Cheryl Ladd), and appeared on her first TV series in Showtime's political comedy, Washingtoon (1985), in which she played a Congressman's daughter. She was also spotted as a guest in the shows, Father Murphy (1981), Charles in Charge (1984 and 1985), and Silver Spoons (1986).

In 1986, Applegate won the role of Robin Kennedy (1986–1987), a cop's daughter, on the police drama series Heart of the City. Meanwhile, she was also seen guest starring in the sitcoms All is Forgiven, Still the Beaver, Amazing Stories, and Family Ties episode Band on the Run (1987) as Kitten.

Applegate eventually scored her most memorable role of ditzy Kelly Bundy in Fox's comedy series Married... with Children. She portrayed her character for ten years (1987–1997). While working on the series, Applegate was seen in Dance 'til Dawn (1988, NBC) and in Streets (1990), in which a teenage drug addict is stalked by a psychotic police officer. Applegate guest-starred in 21 Jump Street (1988), Top of the Heap (1991, as Kelly Bundy), and hosted Saturday Night Live (May 8, 1993) and MADtv (1996).

The character of Sue Ellen Crandell in the comedy feature Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991) was Applegate's first starring role in a mainstream film. She followed it up with films such as Vibrations (1995), Across the Moon (1995), Wild Bill (1995), Mars Attacks! (1996), and Nowhere (1997). After the sitcom Married... with Children was canceled in May 1997, Applegate starred as Claudine Van Doozen in the independent feature Claudine's Return (a.k.a. Kiss of Fire), was cast in the action-comedy The Big Hit, and played the fiancée of a mob descendant in the Mafia satire Jane Austen's Mafia (1998).

Applegate was one of the founding members of the Pussycat Dolls, which debuted at Johnny Depp's Viper Room on the Sunset Strip in 1995.[5][6] Applegate emceed for the group when they moved to The Roxy in 2002.[7]

In 1998, NBC handed her the title role in their sitcom Jesse. The series debuted in 1998, received rave reviews, and brought Applegate a People's Choice Award for Favorite Female Performer in a New TV series and the TV Guide Award for Star of a New Series as well as a nomination at the Golden Globe Awards for Lead Actress in a Comedy. Though the series gained praise, it was canceled in 2000. Applegate was ambivalent about accepting the role:
“ This was a major commitment. I really had to sit and think about it. I eventually came to the conclusion that it came into my life for a reason. ”

The new millennium saw Applegate playing the dual role of a 12th-century noblewoman, Princess Rosalind, and her 21st-century descendant, Julia Malfete, in the time-travel comedy Just Visiting (2001). After gaining wide notice for playing Cameron Diaz's level-headed best friend, Courtney Rockcliffe, in The Sweetest Thing (2002), Applegate continued to win roles in such movies as Heroes (2002), the airplane comedy View from the Top (2003), Wonderland (2003), Grand Theft Parsons (2003), Surviving Christmas (2004), and Employee of the Month (2004). Behind the screen, she was the executive producer of Comforters, Miserable (2001).

soccer players in action new

You guys ever wondered about gay soccer player? Well..i guess it’s your lucky day. I got some pictures of them. Gay’s or not…I’ll let you guys to decide. Let’s see..we got Rooney, Xabi Alonso and Gerrard in the spotlight. Not really know about others but there’s one SUPER GAY pic. :!:
For further reference, I’m not gay and I don’t despise gay. I got lotsa friend including gays, lesbians as well as trans. I like them since they’re all good friends and a good citizen with excellent attitude ( minus their personal interest and sexOne can never have enough sex in soccer, so I was giddy fired up amused to find that BeateUhse, a German erotic retailer, has launched a line of vibrators (along with other World Cup-themed merchandise) featuring various international soccer stars.Three in particular - Michael Ballack and Oliver Kahn of Germany, as well as English skipper David Beckham, are "represented" as Michael B, Ollie K, and David B... cute, huh? The red "Michael B" model is 16 cm long (6.3 inches) and costs £50; its ad claims: "The players' muscular torsos arouse women’s fantasies. They dream about spending an hour between the sheets with their fantasy man."But you know something? They're right! There is no way to blame Beate Uhse for marketing a vibrator in this fashion. No matter what you think about soccer players [if you're American male, something ending in -ussy is might come to mind], they have incredible bodies, great legs, and thanks to their intensity, never fail to impress in the bedroom... at least not that I've found. Plus, their extraordinary physical conditioning ensures a certain Energizer Bunny-type quality that leaves one worn out day after day. Associating a product with these types of men (especially when marketing to European women) is a genius move by the sex chain. Trouble is, Ballack, a recent Chelsea signing from Bayern Munich, and German keeper Kahn are seeking injunctions on the product.According to Kahn's laywer: "This is a clear violation of image rights. We will take action." Ballack's lawyer agreed, claiming that it was an objection to his client's honor.Pure bollocks, I say.No soccer player has honor. "Honorable soccer player" sits in the same realm of oxymorons as military intelligence and jumbo shrimp. And while they may get on like diving, flopping, crying "gentlemen" on the pitch, they're a bunch of twisted, dysfunctional slags off it. So all I can assume is Kahn and Ballack's injunction isn't the result of a damaged sense of honor. This is a pursuit that revolves solely around money and reputation. The simple fact is that their precious egos are bruised by being associated with a 6.3" (16 cm) piece of work; a size that is more than sufficient for a good time.

Kaka was nearly paralyzed in a swimming accident when he was 18, but managed to make a full recoveryAs a Kid: Kaka enjoyed playing soccer as a kid in the streets and on the beach, always teamed up with his brother.Fun tidbit: Kaka’s brother, Rodrigo, played with him at AC Milan and remains at the club.Hobbies: Kaka enjoys spending time with his wife and family, and playing beach soccer.A member of the latest generation of South American players to star Europe, electrifying midfielder Kaka has enjoyed success after success in his career. from a stable, middle-class family in Brazil , Kaka and his brother were gifted from a young age. After attending a local academy at age eight, Kaka signed his first pro contract at age 13. His rise was swift, and within seven years he had been named to Brazil’s 2002 World Cup squad. Kaka’s time on that team would be frustrating, however, as Kaka observed more than he played. Only appearing in 18 minutes of action in one game, he returned to his new-found drive to be one of the world’s best.Returning to the World Cup in 2006, Kaka started the tournament off with bang, scoring his team’s only goal in their opening game win over Croatia.Unfortunately, the tournament went downhill from there- Kaka did no score again and Brazil was knocked out in the quarterfinals. Possibly the most electrifying player currently lacing up the boots, Kaka was recently referred to by ESPN’s Tommy Smith as “The best player in the world today.” The 2010 World Cup will be an opportunity for Kaka to size the reins of a Brazil side in need of a leader to carry it deep into the knockout stages-and possibly to the Championship. A man of deep religious conviction, Kaka spends much of his offseason donating time to help the poor. Since 2006 he has been an ambassador for the United Nation’s World Food Program, providing hope for people worldwide.kaka

Fabregas wants hat-trick Villa at Arsenal Search the news archive for more storieCelestine Babayaro: The Nigerian international was well known for his exuberant goal celebrations. In 1997 he joined Chelsea, but during a pre-season game he broke his leg performing his trademark somer-sault.Yesterday David Villa trained with a bandaged finger, having injured it while celebrating his first goal with Fernando Torres on Tuesday. "I got my finger caught in Fernando's shirt when we were celebrating the goal and bent it back,” he said. Villa is not the first player to injure himself while celebrating.Paolo Diogo: The Portuguese player, who was then 29, lost his finger in December 2004 while celebrating a goal for the Swiss club Servette. Diogo caught his wedding ring on the perimeter fencing while celebrating a late goal that put his side 4-1 ahead against Schaff-hausen. The ring ripped off the top of his finger. "When I jumped down from the fence, I didn't feel anything at all," he said at the time."The first time that I noticed that something was missing from my hand was when it started to hurt. And it hurt tremendously.” Before he noticed the injury, he was booked for excessive celebration. The missing finger was found but surgeons were unable to reattach it. "First I talked to my wife and then with our club doctor," he said. "Then finally I saw that amputation was for the best.” He took the loss well. “I'm not dead and life goes on," he said. "So I have to live with one less finger."
Steve Morrow: As the Arsenal team were on the pitch in front of the Royal Box celebrating their League Cup final victory against Sheffield Wednesday in 1993, Tony Adams lifted Morrow, who had scored the winner, with slightly too much enthusiasm and broke his arm. Morrow missed the rest of the season, including the FA Cup final victory over Wednesday
Patrick Viera: The then Arsenal midfielder scored against Manchester United, slid extravagantly across the turf on his knees and suffered a quad muscle injury that put him out of the team for several weeks.Martin Palermo: In 2001 the Argentinian, who was then with the Spanish side Villareal, scored in the Copa del Rey and ran to the crowd to celebrate. Unfortunately for him a wall collapsed, he suffered a broken leg and was out for six months.
Lomana Lualua: In 2006 the DR Congo international was playing for Portsmouth against Arsenal. Having scored, he launched into his usual celebration, which consisted of multiple back-flips. This time, though, he sustained an ankle injury that put him out for three weeks.

David Sanchez new62

The David Sanchez Quartet played a set that was consistently inspired, exciting and brilliant; everything you want in a jazz performance. The music of David Sanchez is rooted in Latin jazz. The Puerto Rican saxophonist learned percussion first and came up the ranks on his current instrument playing with many of New York's top Latin players. While it was not unusual for he and his band to resolve an extended improvisational passage into a mambo showcasing the very talented pianist Hector Gomez, Sanchez also appears to draw heavily from bop and the avant garde as well. Sanchez and his quartet played with an intensity comparable to the classic quartet and later bands of John Coltrane; tellingly, a workout based on an Eddie Palmieri tune turned into a duet between Sanchez and drummer Adam Cruz starting with a quote from and continuing in the manner of Coltrane and Rashid Ali's Interstellar Space.Coral consists mainly of jazz interpretations of pieces by some of Latin America's most prestigious composers, such as the title composition by Hector Villa Lobos. One of the highlights of the show was a sprawling performance of "Cancion de Canaveral," Mr. Sanchez's sole composition on the album. The new
David Sanchez has rightly been considered one of the most exciting young talents in jazz, and it seems to me that he's reached the point where we can strike the reference to his age out of that sentence while leaving the balance intact. A dynamic musician of seemingly tireless invention, the saxophonist has displayed tremendous artistic growth in his first decade as a bandleader and seems determined to continue an exploratory course. The David Sanchez Quartet's date at Regattabar felt like an event, as I expect most evening with this inspired group must.
